Awards received by Harveys since 1952

Any of these 57 accolades would be considered a major award by any brewer. Not listed are the many prizes for beermats/labels or the countless local beer festival rosettes which are also cherished by the company. The 13 most pre-eminent championship titles are marked in gold.

2009

Harveys Head Brewer, Miles Jenner wins Brewer of the Year award from the British Guild of Beer Writers annual awards dinner in London.

International Beer Challenge. Prince of Denmark outright winner in the Stout and Porter class.
Bill Brewer outright winner of the Low alcohol/No alcohol class.
Our two barley wines, Elizabethan and Christmas Ale
received Silver and Bronze respectively.

Best Regional Cask Beer Brand in the South East.

World Beer Awards: Harveys dark beers win four prizes. The Imperial Extra Double Stout, Old Ale and Lewes Castle Brown Ale were all judged best of their style and received Style Trophies. Additionally, the Old Ale was deemed to be the 'World's Best Standard Dark Beer'.
Harveys of Lewes is voted 'Best Sussex Drink Producer of the Year' at the Taste of Sussex Awards

2008

World Beer Awards. Lewes Castle Brown Ale receives the accolade World's Best Dark Beer'

Old Ale is awarded 'World's Best Mild' in the same Competition

Christmas Ale and Prince of Denmark (a bottled commemorative) are both listed in the world's top 50 beers

2007

Harveys Best Bitter is voted "the Favourite beer in South & South East  England" by a public ballot in the Nation's pubs conducted by Cask Marque & the Daily Telegraph.

The same beer is voted as the Runner-up in the London area

Copperwheat wins 'Assertively Hopped Wheat Beer Class' in Beauty of Hops Competition.

Copperwheat wins bronze medal in the British Style category at SIBA's Wheat Beer challenge.

Elizabethan Ale wins Association of Bottled Beer Collectors Jubilee prize Blue Label & Old Ale win 1st and 2nd prize at the 1st Eastbourne Beer Festival.

Bonfire Boy wins 'Ultimate Beer with BBQs' in National Hop Association and the Horticultural Research International Competition.
