Harveys 'Quids in' ale celebrates the launch of our local currency - the Lewes Pound

'Quids in' Ale is the appropriately named beer Harveys has brewed to commemorate the launch of the Lewes Pound.

This special edition ale sold out at the launch on September 4th when over 500 thirsty people and the world's media packed into Lewes Town Hall to give the biggest currency launch in England for over a century a sterling send off.

A bottle of 'Quids in',a golden Sussex Ale, with an ABV of 4.0, is being sold in the Brewery Shop for one Lewes pound including deposit - instead of the normal price of £1.05 + 5p deposit.

Spend the Lewes Pound and win a Harveys Quids in Hamper.

Now Harveys has launched an exciting monthly prize draw to encourage circulation of the Lewes Pound.

The Pounds are all numbered. At the beginning of each month three lucky numbers will be published and displayed in the Brewery Shop as well as here on the website.

The first person to come into the Shop within the month spending one of the matching numbered Lewes pounds will win a wonderful Harveys 'Quids In' Hamper filled with local produce. The holders of the other two numbers will receive bottles of 'Quids In'.

However if the hamper goes unclaimed at the end of the month then there will be a roll over: It will be held over to the following month when three new numbers will be announced - and the prize hamper will get bigger - and will keep getting bigger every month until it is claimed!

As soon as the new numbers are announced, the old numbers become invalid.
