The Arlington Arms
Eastbourne
The Arlington Arms in Eastbourne has 3 seperate bar
areas and a restaurant at the side which can cater
for 42 covers at a sitting. The pub has a full range of activities which
include pub games, quiz nights
and even a chartered boat trip.
The seperate games bar to the right of the pub have
a variety of pub games including pool, bar billiards, darts, dominoes
and recently 'toad in the hole'. Other activities throughout the year
that the Arlington are involved in include a fishing competition, Golf
Society, Yard Of Ale Competition and a Tug Of War on the beach.
There is an extensive menu from sandwiches and jacket
potatoes to T-Bone Steaks and fish dishes and a daily specials board,
however the Arlington is particularly known for their very competitive
Roast Dinners.
Despite all this there is live music monthly on Saturday
nights and a Cockney Sunday Lunch twice a year, quiz nights on Tuesdays
and a garden with a childrens play area and BBQ's in the summer on Bank
Holidays. The Arlington can also cater for private functions for up
to 60 people.
The Arlington was also the winner of the 'Harveys In
Bloom' competition in the summer of 2001 and 2003.
