A little gem of an unspoilt, timbered country pub located just north of the picturesque Ashdown Forest. The intimate bar area is distinct from the popular restaurant for which pre-booking is advised. Time magazine voted it the best pub in the world, albeit two decades ago, and it hasn't changed since.  Wonderfully isolated.
