How have I missed this wine? Spanish wine….we think inexpensive unpretentious wines to the greatest Rioja…however there is a tiny Catalunyan region that is causing a stir. Priorat is up and coming.. A blend of cabernet sauvignon , garnacha, carinena and syrah this is a well-crafted modern style of wine making.
Intense, full bodied – a wine not to be missed….I’m trying Galena Priorat 2007
The bottle label itself is a piece of art.Intense cherry velvety colour, complete luxury. I can’t wait to try it! Aromatic complexity, black fruits and a touch of spice.
WOW, this is a powerful, full mouthful of fruit, blackberry, minerals, liquoriceand soft tannins.A well-structured wine, long and persistent with a softness.
Drinking well now but has the ability to age, I can’t wait to try it again next year…
Do try it with paella….
