Dancing in the Old

Dancing in the Old returns this autumn, marking the much-loved release of our winter seasonal, Old Ale

The day begins at 11am with a Harvest Thanksgiving at the Church of St Thomas a Becket in Cliffe, just a stone’s throw from the brewery. Decked with fresh hops from the recent harvest, the ancient parish church provides a fitting setting to gather, give thanks, and celebrate alongside dancers, locals, and visitors alike. Everyone is warmly invited to join this joyful tradition.

At midday, the celebrations spill into the rear brewery yard with access from North Court, off Cliffe High Street. Here, Morris sides will take to the floor, while members of the public are invited to raise a glass of the very first pour of this year’s Old Ale.

The festivities, full of music, hops, and community spirit, will wrap up promptly at 1pm.

Far more than a seasonal favourite, we're pleased to share that this year’s Old Ale has claimed some of the highest accolades in brewing; including Supreme Champion at the International Beer Challenge 2025, Gold at the World Beer Awards, and a prestigious Gold from CAMRA. This winter classic is drinking exceptionally well, and we can’t wait to share the first pints with you.
