Brewery Tours
We pride ourselves on providing a relaxed opportunity for customers to gain an appreciation of the brewing process and our heritage – and to raise any questions with our production staff.
Harvey’s Brewery Tour
Our brewery tour is not simply a walk around with a guide; it is a chance for us to meet our customers and give an insight to the art of brewing at Harvey’s. The informal sampling session that follows is a catalyst for one to one questions and answers. We also gain a great insight from the experience and it is always a pleasure to entertain our customers in this manner.
WINTER 2024
Please note that brewery tours will cease on 30th November and will recommence in Spring 2024.
This break enables us to focus on production in the run up to Christmas and undertake maintenance schedules during the early part of next year.
If you are representing an organised group of individuals, such as a social club, we would be very pleased to hear from you. Tours are limited to a maximum of 30 people.
Requests should be sent to Sally Jenner sjenner@harveys.org.uk We will endeavour to make a provisional booking for your tour.
Please be aware that bookings for less than thirty persons will have the remaining places available for individuals to book online.
No tours will take place before April 2024.
Tours are available to book here: https://thelittleboxoffice.com/harveys/
Tours commence at 18:30, last approximately 90 minutes and cost £12.50 pp including VAT and a booking fee.
Admittance is restricted to persons over the age of 18.
Our tower brewery is a Grade II Listed building and contains a number of staircases. Regrettably, this makes tours unsuitable for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Please ensure that your footwear is appropriate and avoid high heels.
Travel Directions:
For those arriving on foot/bicycle: please approach the brewery via our rear yard BN7 2JW, accessed from Cliffe High Street via North Court (opposite the Gardeners’ Arms).
For those arriving by motorised transport: if you put BN7 2JW into your satellite navigation this should take you into Harvey's Way. You will see a public car park on your right as you travel through Harvey's Way. This car park is free after 5 p.m.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour so you can be checked in and meet your guide before assembling in the cask shed.
Our toilet facilities are located in the rear yard and we would advise you to take advantage of this prior to the tour, as we will be unable to accommodate requests until the tour has ended.
The tour will finish in the cellars that lead to the rear yard.
Your tour guide will remain available to answer any questions following the tour and provide a tutored tasting of our beer.
Please remember that you will be in a food production area and follow your guide’s instructions at all times.
