A friendly welcome awaits you at this traditional community local.
Toast yourself in front of our log fire in the winter and take advantage of the sunshine and fresh air in our large enclosed beer garden to the rear of the pub, where you will also find a covered seated smoking area.
While away a pleasant hour or two meeting old friends and new. We have a variety of pub games for you to play including pool, darts, shove ha’penny, toad-in-the-hole, dominoes, cribbage and board games to borrow. We also host a Quiz Night every Sunday evening – free entry, it’s just for fun. We are a dog-friendly pub so your four-legged companion can come along too and if they are well-behaved, they might be lucky enough to get a free dog biscuit from the bar staff.
And of course, well-behaved children are also welcome (until 9pm). On Sundays we serve our traditional Roast Lunch with all the trimmings and we also serve traditional home-made pub food on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays including our popular home-made burgers, sausages and pies (please check our website for more details). We hold a number of events throughout the year including live music events such as our monthly Open Mic Night and Midsummer Music Festival as well as a variety of charity events.
